TAX Issue

Hi everybody

i;ve an issue with tax

i've configured 10% GST for all zones in Australia ( total 8) and on my store configuration display price with tax both admin n catalog options are true.

now when i add product and select GST for tax class it calculates 80% of tax instead of 10%

i.e if i enter net price of 100, gross price becomes 180

i've not done anything or change anything

can you please help me??

thanks in advance

regards

parth

n.b on front end only gross price comes up and at the time of checkout it does not show any tax

It does not affect the storefront negatively.

ie: the customer has an address --- whose state/province and country information correlate to a "zone definition" you have configured in Admin->Locations/Taxes->Zones Definitions. In the details of each definition, you have state/province and country connections.
What zone does your test customer's address apply to?
What tax rate is associated with that zone?
You likely have one of those settings incomplete.

How exactly did you set up all your zones and taxes?
Maybe you need to list all the details here in order to determine where something's missing.

hi thanks Dr Byte

well i tested it again today, looks as u said on front end...but

now in admin, if i choose GST and enter Gross price ( which i want to as i dont want to waste time in deducting 10% of all product prices) lets say for example 29.50 on front end it comes as 18.03 with 1.64 of GST!!!!

and so far as zones are conecrened...

1 i define GST as TAx class
2. i defined zones and then
3. i defined tax rates which is 10% for all zones

come on dr byte it was working when i 1st installed it then i reinstalled zencart all fresh and it started to happne...

please save me

It would seem that you've simply mis-configured something somewhere ...
