wrong module descriptions in cart

Hallo All,

I have this problem I can't find the answer to.
In my shopping cart I get Module_Payment_XXX_Text_Title, and Module_Shipping_Zones_Text_Title, instead of the correct descriptions. Could anyone please tell me what I've forgotten, broken or whatever? My url: www.gamesreplay-nl.com
Thanks in advance.

Re: wrong module descriptions in cart

It's not unusual for us to see new sites linked to here where our first response is that the poster needs to optimise their image file sizes, but yours are spectacularly oversized. Your front page is over 11MB in size, with one product image being over 6MB. Asking people to review your site and then taking that much bandwidth ... not good. Please sort out your file sizes. Tip - Bitmaps not good, your images should be jpegs.

The problem about which you asked suggests that your includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/zones.php file is missing or corrupt.

Re: wrong module descriptions in cart

Thank you for, kuroi. I'll change the images first. I handn't realised it was that bad, but then, this whole thing is one big puzzle to me. I´ll get there in the end, I hope. Anyhow, I´ll be back when I´ve got the size down, thanks!

Re: wrong module descriptions in cart

Hello,

I hope I've got everything down to an acceptable size, so I'd like to get back to my original question.
I use the payment modules paypal and eustandardtransfer mod, and for shipping the zones mod. They're all in their original files (httpdocs/includes/modules/shipping and /payment). I didn't change anything in them as well.
Should I've put them soewhere else?

It's there, where the line says it should be.

Re: wrong module descriptions in cart

Hello,

I hate having to bump my own post, but I'm at my wits' end. If there is anyone who can give me a hint where I could have gone wrong, I'd be very grateful. And please don't mind my English, it's not my native language.

Re: wrong module descriptions in cart

This is going to be very difficult to solve from this end. Something is not quite right on your server, but we can see only the result, not the cause.

Normally the cause is something needed being missing, corrupt or in the wrong place, but from the information that you have provided, none of these seem to be the case.

So the next level of problem is something present that shouldn't be, getting in the way of legitimate scripts. If I had this problem on my local server I would be doing two things. I'd recommend that you try the same:

  1. insert echo statements throught he process of building the code that's not showing up properly to track exactly where it fails
  2. check that there are no over-ride folders or files that might accidentally direct Zen Cart to skip past the legitimate files.

Re: wrong module descriptions in cart

Kuroi,
It's getting way over my head now. The point about over-ride folders had occurred to me too, and I've been trying to find something. Problem is, I don't know where to look and I'm not sure I would recognise them either.
I have the same problem with both the shipping module and the payment module. Do they meet somewhere? The only thing I noticed is that I get the makes no difference when I replace my template with the future_zen one.
For your other point: I know nothing about codes and php. What's an echo statement?
I'm beginning to wonder if it wasn't faster to scrap what I have and start completely over.
