Need help with product listing layout

I would like to set up the product listing so you would first see the image of the product, and a short description. Then when you click on the image you would have a more detailed description of that item pop up. Sorta like this site.

Anyway I'm sure this isn't hard, I'm just not finding the how to in order to accomplish this. Here is an example of what I would like:
