Chocolate Shipping - Extremely Complicated Rules

My guess is that I can't do this through the standard UPS module or the UPS XML module, but I want to run it by the experts on how I should best go about setting this up. I was able to create the rules below with our current Yahoo Shopping cart through 20 separate rules that all together covered the various circumstances. So, can I achieve this through stacking various approaches on top of each other (multipe UPS modules, zone rules, Order Total modules, etc.)? Or, am I going to have to do custom programming (which I don't know how to do)?

We ship chocolate from one location in NJ and only UPS real-time rates. Because our ice packs melt after 2 days in transit, we have to limit available options to customers further away. We tack on handling fees depending on the method of shipping selected. We discount shipping based on the order amount.

  • If NY, NJ, CT, PA, ME, zips 34300-34511, 52101-52111 (examples), allow all 3 shipping methods
  • If the rest of the US, only allow 2nd Day and Next Day
  • If Ontario or Quebec, allow Canada Standard and Worldwide Expedited
  • If rest of Canada, only allow Worldwide Expedited
  • If UK, only allow Worldwide Expedited- If Canada Standard, add $45 handling per order
  • If Canada Worldwide Expedited, add $20 handling
  • If UK, add $20 handling- If US, and order is greater than $79, then
  • For Ground, shipping is free
  • For Next Day or 2nd Day, subtract $15

/me thud ... :lamo:

Actually ... while these sound nasty ... anything can be written based on need ... ju$t depend$ how much you need $omething like thi$ for your $ite ...

It would take quite a bit of customization but it would be rather fun to write ... granted I have a twisted sense of fun ... :smartalec:
