change page name

hi i want to change the name of the pages sayinf more information they say page 2, page 3 , page 4. i want to change them to about us, feedback and link pleasde tell me how thanks

While that solution will change the listings in the more information sidebox, it does nothing for the other 20+ instances of page_2 and page 2.

You're better off to go the the downloads link above and get the about us mod. Follow it and turn off the more information sidebox. Much simpler and less likely to be an error.

i have already done this and other things and it changes the page name when you are looking at the page. but in the more information box it still says page 2,page 3,page 4. all the other stuff says what i want it to say. its just the more info box and site map i need to change the page names.

Use the developers tool kit in the admin. search for both Page_2 and page 2.

how does this help it only shows where the words page_2 is

seems like if one knew where the word is one would also know where to change it.

ok problem solved. it was a problem with my english.php page.

You will need to do the same for Page 3 and Page 4.

I hope you have saved these changed files in the override directories so they will not be overwritten on the next upgrade.

i don't now what i did. you see i have just moved my shop from aforumways.co.uk/cart to advarntek.co.uk and was going though the files because i had changed it all on aforumways.co.uk/cart so i check all the file sizes and i noted that the english file on aforumways.co.uk/cart was bigger than the one installed on advarntek.co.uk so i copyed it to advarntek.co.uk and it change all the page info so it works ok know.

Glad you got it going. Bad FTP is a common cause of problems.
