Auction Lister Pro (ALP) Support

Hi,

I went on to install ALP on my actual zencart. It installed successfully but I receiving the following warnings. How should I fix them?

I have installed and got this to work - so great job for such a great mod. But maybe I have missed something. It doesn't give me the option to do Store inventory listings on Ebay and the longest duration is 10 days.

We have a Ebay store (just setup) and I was looking at the different listing options for stores and the description of store inventory is really what we want. But through the ALP I can't see how I can use this listing option.

Can someone let me know is this something I have missed or is it just not available yet.

Can anyone help me with this - I would really like to know how to get ALP to use the inventory listing options with ebay. Is it possible or does it just do the auctions?

David, or anyone ... can you tell me if this can be used LIVE yet? Has anyone gotten it to work LIVE?

Swiker it is capable of being used for live listings.

You will need to download the Fix Cache Key file to your site and run it. I've included a link for you.

The bulk lister is not available at this time. We are working with eBay to provide a certified solution for cart owners.

I installed this module successfully on a test cart. I have a few question. Does ALP work similarly to eBay Turbo Lister? Do I have to relist my zencart products onto ALP and then to eBay? Can I bulk import my zencart products into ALP? Does it support eBay stores? Please advise. Thank you.

Can customers who purhase from ebay checkout on zencart with ALP now?

Hi, i installed ALP and everything seems ok but in the Product dropdown i don't get anything listed.

Any ideas?

Check to make sure you don't need a DB_Prefix in your setup. This is the most common problem with ALP not working on Zen cart.

The DB_Prefix is ok, i had to change it right after installation in "zen_" to make everything work. So, what could it be?

Is the database that you have in ALP the same database as your shopping cart?

ALP uses the cart's database to handle all transactions between Zen and eBay.

I gotta say this was the BIGGEST piece missing from the documentation.

The second biggest piece was a link to the eBay developer site to apply for tokens.

The third was the database prefix bit.

Those three points would have saved me an hour. Which isn't too bad consider the trouble I see others going through.

New problem - when attempting to create the auction (sandbox), both image fields give me errors even though they have the full path (http....) to the image.

Can anybody answer this? I saw it mentioned before without an answer, and there is no answer on the support forum either.

Deleted and reinstalled. Again, no errors. Open the /alps/ folder:

1146 - Table 'tablename.configuration' doesn't exist

It's so much better when you get different errors everytime.
BTW- what's with all the db errors on auctionlisterpro.com?

Yes, I agree that there are too many missing pieces. There is a field in the install that leaves off a backslash. It is pre-entered as http:/ (wonder how many problems that simple typo is causing folks). Wow, even the autionlisterpro.com website is displaying db errors when logging into my account there.

The documentation could really use an update. The minimum requirements section says the eBay tokens are required and to search the posts for how to get them. Would it not have been just as easy to say "go to developer.ebay.com to get your keys"? Would have saved me about 30 minutes.

Think I'll wait awhile before giving this software access to my Zen Cart db. Not sure what it would do to my store. With all the issues inside and outside of this script it's just not worth the risk. The errors above are problably due to the fact that I created a new database for ALP. Didn't see anything that said I should use my existing db. Now I'm glad I didn't.

Go ahead and ignore my posts above, I've already deleted the package and don't plan to download it again until further development has reached a more stable level. At least a non-zero version.

I saw your complaint a couple days ago and I apologize as I haven't had the time to get to you. You are right. There are small problems here and there and most people expect things to just work out of the box. I do apologize about that.

Thank you for bringing the website DB bug to my attention. I wasn't aware of it. I will get that fixed.

I do apologize also for the lack of speedy releases. I've been working two jobs so that's been eating up all my time.
