problem when Downloads and shipped items are purchased together ..

I try what you suggested, but shipping is still wrong.
this time I turn on my shipping weight display (in the cart), so I can see what are the weights.

turns out my downloadable image weight was set to 3lb (default, I think), even though I set it to 0lb.

and my decals was default to 4lb, when I set it to 1lb.

any ideas?

Most likely ... something sounds mis-configured ...

How about an URL to the products_id that you have tried to test this with? ...

You have the Download marked as a Combo ... is something being mailed with it? :unsure:

If this is just a Download, Downloads are marked as:

Product is Virtual: No, Shipping Address Required
Always Free Shipping: No, Normal Shipping Rules

On the Decal, the weight is 1.00 ... but you have a Tare Weight of 0:3 which means add 3lbs to the weight ...

Set your Tare Weight to 0:0 and you will have 1lb vs 4lbs ... :smile:

where is the "Tara" weight are you talking about? I dont find it anywhere...
