Pointing to new domain name issue

I have had a shop working for the past couple of weeks but on a sub domain. I have just deleted the sub domain and pointed a new domain to the shop in the server control panel.

I have changed both the configure files to reflect this but now I am getting an error from admin side and nothing from main url other than it trying to re-install as if there were no configure file uploaded but there is.

Am I missing another file that needs changing or is there something else I am overlooking.

Here are the links to the site:
http://www.thebeadgallery.co.uk/shop
http://www.thebeadgallery.co.uk/shop/admin/

Thanks in advance for any help as I have a client screaming at me :(

Re: Pointing to new domain name issue

Can you post, from the server, without your username and password, the files:
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

Re: Pointing to new domain name issue

Also check your database configuration table for the configuration_key
SESSION_WRITE_DIRECTORY

and make sure that is set to the correct path in the configuration_value ...

Also make sure this file is on the server:
/shop/includes/autoload_func.php

And if need be, delete and reload a clean copy ...

Re: Pointing to new domain name issue

Are you sure you uploaded the correct configure.php files to the correct folders, and that the uploads were successful?
Also, what permissions settings are active on those files presently? Try relaxing them a bit (make them writable again temporarily) and see if that helps.
It appears that the files are either not found, are incomplete, or contain invalid content.

Re: Pointing to new domain name issue

I tried all those and still no joy. I have now replaced both configure files and tried relaxing write permissions. Any other ideas?

Re: Pointing to new domain name issue

Please upload the /zc_install/techsupp.php file to your /shop/ folder, and post a link to it

Re: Pointing to new domain name issue

Try this:

  1. make full backups
  2. re-install a fresh copy of Zen Cart into the place where you want this all to work
  3. preserve the newly-created configure.php files
  4. restore your files and database, EXCEPT the configure.php files ... use the new ones only
  5. run the fix_cache_key utility from the downloads section (troubleshooting tools) to reset the cache folder data in the database.
