Can Zen do inventory on multiple levels?

I have a customer who wants a shopping cart solution that will:

a) connect to QB

b) allow her to offer inventory both on an individual item level as well as on a case pack level.

ie. she sells widgets that can be purchased by retailers individually or as a case of 10. The case of 10 offers a small discount as this is how it comes from the manufacturer and then she doesn't have to count, pack, etc.

If the customer orders a case pack, she wants to have the inventory show 10 less.

I was thinking that she could use Zen out of the box and offer a volume discount for 10 of a single item. Then her inventory is always correct, etc.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

(ie. this feeds off the way QB offers inventory. Example. I sell the product as a single unit but I buy the product in a case and 10 of each unit = 1 case).

Do this with attributes where the options are each or single and case and you will have to insert factor and offset for the quantity for the case, just don't forget that one is by default included when setting this

I understand the price offset (I've searched the forums and found a great answer from Linda) but I'm confused and unclear which setting I use to factor in the inventory.

This is how I have my attributes set... I added 50 to stock and when I did a test run, it only showed one gone from stock but I need it to adjust to show 10 out of stock.

I use "Quantity Discount" by swguy and set up case qty discounts. Case qty can be % off retail, actual price or $ off
