Attributes/Options Changing Themselves...so it seems

On one of my ZC 1.3.7 sites which sells shoes, the colour options on every product have changed. They are now alphabetically the first 20 or so values in the 'colour' option. The number varies from product to product, but every single one is affected.

The owner is certain that no one has been in and altered anything.

Has anyone had this happen before, and any ideas what could have caused it?

If you have the Default Sort Order set on the Option Values and someone said to Sort the Option Values either by Product or for the shop, then that would reset the display order of the Option Values to match the default ...

Look in the Attributes Controller and you can see if Sort Order is being used ...

Thanks very much for the reply. Not sure where to check for that, to be honest.

Also, I'm wondering if I explained our predicament properly looking back at it:

All products throughout the store would have maybe 4, 5 or 6 colour options. Now, every single product has had its colour options reset to the first 20 or so options in colour. So, instead of product x's colour options being black, blue, red, green and brown, for example, they are Aubergine, Aqua, etc.

IF you build the Option Values in the Option Value Manager with a Default Sort Order ...

Or fix this in the Option Value Sorter ...

You can update all Products and all Products will now have the same Sort Order based on these defaults to all looks logical and pretty ... :smile:
