Products not displaying

If there is only one product in a catagory, when you click catagory the product page is displayed.

If two or more products in a catagory, when you click the catagory, a blank page is displayed

Did you make any changes to includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_index_product_list.php

Try re-uploading the original for that file if so.

When you have just one product in a category your Zen Cart is set up to jump past the category listing, straight to the product info page. Which works fine.

When you have two or more, the tpl_index_product_list.php template is invoked instead. There is a problem with this page which results in a fatal error, most likely with the php. Unfortunately error messages appear to be suppressed on your server, so we can't see what or where the error occurs. Though it appears to be early in that template file, or in another file that is called early on in that template.

Handy Dandy switch on that too ... for those who feel the need to have a Product Listing even if there is only 1 item ...

If this option is set to True, then if the customer clicks on a link to a category which only contains a single item, then Zen Cart will take them directly to that product-page, rather than present them with another link to click in order to see the product.

No, have made no changes .. this is a fresh install.

Tried re-uploading the file, no difference.

Have re-downloaded ZenCart and unpacked, reuploaded files ... still no products displayed in catagories

There's a high probability that this is a problem with accesses to your database, but with the error messages suppressed searching for it would be like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack.

I seem to have the same problem as posted by Exarkun but I'm using version 1.3.5.1 though. Kuroi, you think there's a problem with accessing the database so I completely removed my database, created a new one, did a fresh installation with a dutch lanuage installation and tried to make some new categories and products. The problem persists. The sub-category with just 1 product seems to be ok but 2 or more products....Nope!Also 'all products' in the sidebox gives a blanc page. Please, please HELP. I can't get any further.

I'm NOT using Image Handler. I resize the images as small as possible BEFORE I upload them to the server. This way the page will load faster. At least, that's what I think is the best way to do. Both GIF or JPG (450x450 max) cause the same problem.
Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?Unfortunately you've told us so little about your site that there really isn't anything to go on.

It doesn't look as though your problem is necessarily the same as exarkun either, since on his site the All Products option does work.

I'm a newby. But I'm almost ready with my shop. But I've the same problem as mention in this thread. I'm ussing 1.3.7 and when I upload 1 product in a category it woks fine, but when I upload the next product in the same category ... I see a blank page, even the stuff under the page (ip adress etc etc) will not mention. Strange enough, a few days ago it has worked.

Can anybody help me?

Sounds like you may have a bad, damaged or otherwise corrupt file involved here ...

You can also try switching your template to the Classic Template to make sure it isn't something wrong with your template and override files ... which you are of course using ... :unsure:

Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com is a great package for comparing via FTP your live site on the server with a clean Zen Cart on your computer ...

I am happy to see that I am not the only person with this problem but frustrated that there doesn't seem to be a fix.

Basically I have the same problem as Exarkun. When I have one product in a category, it displays as intended. If I have more than one product, no products are listed and it appears that the rest of the page is displaying fine (the footer etc). I am not sure what error display people are referring to (zen cart or php)? Not very familiar with php so not sure how to turn that on.

In addition, the category shows beside the link that it has 6 items in it. Also when I click on All Products, everything shows up fine. It is just when I click on the category that it won't show.

I tried a couple of things as well. I moved the products around to see if putting them in different categories would make a difference (in case I had set some setting up incorrect) but this made no difference. If it was the only product in the category it would show and if multiple products were attached to a category, nothing would show.

As far as I know I am not using that Image resizer. Is this something I manually have to turn on or install? I did a search in the web folder for the image resizer php file but it didn't find it so I am thinking it is a custom installed module or something?

Oh and one last thing, I've switched between templates and all of them work the same (or rather they all display the same problem). So it can't be a template corruption/editing problem and I can't see it being a database problem as the products show fine when I click "ALL Products"

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
