Need help to change this TEXT seems a unique problem

I can't find the text I am looking for in Header.php ---It is not "Sales Message goes here" file - It.s a html file - see below:

I spoke with someone who said they edited this line in their FTP client while online - I don't have an FTP client that allows editing online.

Whenever you're looking for text like that, go to your admin, go to "Tools", "Developers Tool Kit". Search for a portion of the text, for example, search for:

Welcome to mikes Lumbers

I always enter my search term into the last input box, then choose "All Files - Catalog" from the drop down menu.

That will tell you exactly what file its located in.

This text has been edited before, as that is not the default text. You either need to download a free FTP client, OR find out what your control panel is for your website... most hosts offer an online control panel so you can edit your files through your browser.

Just a note about the Developers Tool Kit in the admin. It is designed to search for text and key words that have been hard-coded into existing files. It will not search the database nor find, for example, the store name after being parsed into an html file. Even some of the greetings are broken up into two selections in the php files.

Start small when searching and try to avoid terms you've entered during setup or in product namess/descriptions. You'll find it to be a valuable tool in your arsenal.
