Just another Cross-Sell mod (support thread)

There is one minor bug that would cause an error if you search for a non-exist cross-sell.
Fix: download the new JAXSell/admin/includes/init_includes/init_yclass.php, and upload to your server.

Try to download JAXSell/admin/control_panel/includes/functions/extra_functions/xsell_advanced.php, see if that fixes the problem. If not, please take a screenshot and send to me.

I just went to the download location and downloaded that file and uploaded to the server. I have the same thing going on. It just has those errors I quoted and the rest is all blank space. I will have a play around and see if I can notice any pattern, as two of the edit buttons work for two cross sells.

Which edit buttons? The ones under Current Cross Sells?
Does this only happen for some specific products? Or does this happen randomly?
Do you notice anything special? (Products have different product types, etc...)

Not sure just yet, looking through them. Noticed this when you try and delete any product cross sell:-

1054 Unknown column 'Earrings' in 'where clause'
in:
[delete from zen_products_xsell where products_id= Earrings]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I have used the sql patches as included in the mod. I don't know if this error means anything?

Are you using "model" ?

Try to download this file again and reupload:
JAXSell/admin/control_panel/includes/functions/extra_functions/xsell_advanced.php (new version)

It has made some of the ones that didn't work, work with the edit button. Can't really see a pattern now. But something has helped it along.

If you still get this error:

That means you have NOT updated your JAXSell/admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/xsell_advanced.php to the latest version.
With the code inside the latest version of this file, there is no way you can get the same error.

Anyone else tried this new version? If you encounter any bug please report it here. I want to fix all reported bugs first before uploading the new version to download section.

I have tried revision 82: the file you in question. I still get the delete thing and the error comes up on some items. Maybe it is my setup, so if others could let us know how they are going with their site and the mod, that'd be great.

1. The previous code seems to mess up xsell on the catalog side somehow(at least on my site), fixed it
2. Edit products with only 1 cross-sell may cause an unexpected error. Fixed

Files affected:
/admin/includes/init_includes/init_yclass.php
/includes/modules/your_template/xsell_products.php

You only need to download those 2 files and reupload to your server.

Hi, I downloaded and installed Just Another Cross-Sell on the zencart download section. I couldn't get two cross sell items to display in a row. Instead there are two rows, one item on each. In my admin, I set to have 3 columns and 6 items. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Add this to your stylesheet:

I cant guarantee that the latest version is 100% free of bug (I have never seen any software that is free of bug), but it's quite stable as we have tested it for a while. Any reported bug is usually fixed within 24 hours.
Changes:

1. No longer loads and displays all current xsells by default (improve loading speed)
2. Includes the original Xsell package now.
3. Most core functions are moved out of the template file.
4. Use a different approach to input new xsells.
5. Added a switch in the admin panel that let you display xsell products randomly (in the store)
6. Many minor changes to code.

Yes, and you have to run the sql patches as well, but that's it.
The readme file should cover the instructions.
