Categories Showing But Not Sub Categories

Hi,

I have just installed a fresh copy of Zen Cart (zen-cart-v1.3.7.1-full-patched-07052007) for the 3rd time in the hope that this issue would get resolved but cant seem to get rid of it.

I have a website called: http://www.bubblebitz.com, which as of yet only has categories on it, now the problem I am having is the follows:

Adding ROOT categories to Zen Cart is ok and I can click on them and view the products under them perfectly.

However when I add more than 2 SUBCATEGORIES under a ROOT category then I am presented with a blank page when I go to click on the category.

I do have a template installed and though this was the issue therefore I removed the template completely and am now using the default Zen Cart template and I am presented with the same problem.

If someone could please help out on this matter I would be very grateful.

I get "The connection was reset" when clicking on the only category with subs... Somehow it doesn't like going there.

Did you ever install the demo products when installing Zen Cart? I would try that and see if you get the same problem. I believe that would indicate something wrong with your server setup.

just done a quick test and I think I know where the problem lies but have no idea how to resolve it.

When Zen Cart has more than 30 categories then the subcategories stop working, if it has less than 30 then it seems to be ok

after a further look, it seems that you can only have 4 sub categories too before it breaks again :(

Ok, I have re-installed Zen Cart with just a basic install with the aditional category structure and still have the same issue, you can take a look at http://www.bubblebitz.com.

I too have just installed a clean copy of the latest Zen cart. Added some minor mods, image handler etc, all mods do not change core files that I have, and using a template.
I have 5 main categories, and in one main category I have 4 sub categories, and of those 4 sub categories I have 2 with products in.

Goto site, and products in main categories display, but in sub categores I get nothing, however if I goto a sub category that does not ahve any products in it, I am told there are no products to display and it shows me the latest products for the month (which include the missing items)

I have checked everything and cannot find out why it will not display the products in the sub category.

Is there a fix for this?

I have a long used category that is no longer showing. No Configuration changes I only added a new product inside of this category and now the category is no longer showing.

When I create a new category under the main category it takes you to the sitemap as it can not be found even with an item in this category.

Any clues on how to fix it?
