Table Rate & Google Tax Calculation

Okay.

I think I've decided to go with table rate shipping costs because I want to do it by price. I'm having two issues.

Problem 1: I've set up the table rate, and then I check it on Google Sandbox (Google is my only payment option) and sometimes it will calculate it accurately, sometimes it won't.

Sometimes it will say "Shipping $0.00" other times it will calculate the price for a higher cost than what it should be for how much is in the cart.

Problem 2: I'm in California, and Google is not calculating tax for a California address.

Can anyone help with any of this. I have searched the boards, I have spent hours trying to troubleshoot, and I'm getting awfully frustrated.

You never indicated which version of the GC mod or which version of Zen Cart you have installed. We can't very well help you if you do not report such significant information. ;-)

Recent updates of the 1.4x GC mod have repaired issues with free shipper shipping method. Don't know if this applies to your specific issue.

One method to troubleshoot your issue is some trial and error...For testing narrow down to having one shipping method installed at a time with limited shipping options and use GC mod shipping_generator to create shipping arrays. Then if that limited setup behaves well add another ship method with some options. keep adding back ship methods and options, regenerating the shipping arrays, until you hit a wall or everything works for you.

Also GC requires only one tax rate be applied to all shipping methods.

Also note a new version of the mod (1.4.1beta) is possibly to be released before the end of the month. Undergoing testing now.
