Dynamic download products.

Hi All,

Looking through the Zen Cart setup, it is obviously possible to set up download products such as eBooks and Software; I would like know, is it possible to set up dynamic download products?

For example: I have a piece of software which can be customised with the addition of a client's logo, contact details, etc. These are then embedded into a file. Once the customer has configured their product, the are able to download this. Such a product is unique to the customer, and hence requires a unique, dynamic file to download.

The creation process can be handled already, what I would like to know, is it possible to process the sale of a dynamic product through Zen Cart?

I can find references to set up attributes, downloads and multiple files for products, but nothing specifically for dynamic downloads. A file would be created externally to Zen-Cart and then need adding as a one-off product for sale.

Is this possible out-of-the-box or is there a suitable add-on?

As an alternative solution, has anyone any ideas for externally processing (eg. redeeming) vouchers sold through Zen-Cart?

No help, but an extension to this requirement.

I'd like to be able to do this and then have the product be available again to that customer and only that customer for example,

company X logs in buys "500 buisness cards", configures these with the name "Joe Smith", etc.

I'd like them to be able to go back at a future date and see "500 Joe Smith business cards" as a product along with the generic ones.

Anything like that possible?

Not exactly the same thing, but I have started to edit the customers shopping cart, using the Master Password contribution, by logging in at the customers behalf.

If I understand correctly, what you need here would be

1. automated shopping cart filler from an external database or system,
   especially for every single customer, taken from the purchase history

or

2. the customer could copy an already existing order into the shopping cart
   (the exsting orders should be displayed like 'special' products that only exist for the current logged in user...)
