Coupons Not working - checkout still asks for money

Hi I have setup a coupon for a category on my shop. I have set the miniumum amount to the same price of each product, before tax. I have set the value of the coupon to the amount of the order after tax has been added. No matter what I do the checkout still expects the user to pay for the cart although they have used a coupon. I have setup the coupon module so it includes free shipping and tax and it still does it.

Is there any way to make a product get checked out with out having to pay when using a coupon. I thought i had set it up but it just isnt working.

I'm using zen cart version 1.3.7 what can I do?

Discount Coupons can be set up for:

1 Free Shipping

-- or --

2 Amount Off

-- or --

3 Percentage Discount

You cannot combine these ...

Set up the Restrictions with Top Category Deny and then set what is allowed ...

So if a product is free shipping, the coupon can make the purchase completly free?

If there is Shipping $0.00 and the Coupon makes the Product $0.00 then that looks pretty Free to me ... :smile:

so how come at the end of checkout it still says £9.99 order total and takes the user to paypal to pay? that isn't free

Check that you have installed the latest updates for Zen Cart v1.3.7.1 which includes the latest updates for PayPal IPN and Express ...

Be sure to Uninstall all PayPal modules ... Install both PayPal modules ... then Uninstall the one you do not wish to use and Configure the PayPal module you do want to use ...
