Category / Manufacturer filter not switching on

Since upgrading to 1.3.7 the category/manufacturer filter hasn't been loading up. I have multiple products and categories, and it was working fine before the upgrade.

When I go into Product Listing > Display Category/Manufacturer filter it is switched on.

I've also noticed that if I switch on the alpha filter, the category/manufacturer filter suddenly does show up. When I switch off the alpha filter, the category/manufacturer box also disappears.

Unfortunately the alpha filter is not relevant to my website, so I really only need the category/manufacturer filter box...

We call that a feature ... some might call it a bug ... :eek:

You can fix this by editing the file:
/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_index_product_list.php

And commenting the code from approximately line 38-41

//  $check_for_alpha = $listing_sql;
//  $check_for_alpha = $db->Execute($check_for_alpha);

//  if ($check_for_alpha->RecordCount() > 0 && PRODUCT_LIST_ALPHA_SORTER == 'true') {

And copy those same 3 lines then place it just below the require line comments at approximately line 75

  // draw alpha sorter
  require(DIR_WS_MODULES . zen_get_module_directory(FILENAME_PRODUCT_LISTING_ALPHA_SORTER));

So the end result would look like:

  // draw alpha sorter
  $check_for_alpha = $listing_sql;
  $check_for_alpha = $db->Execute($check_for_alpha);

  if ($check_for_alpha->RecordCount() > 0 && PRODUCT_LIST_ALPHA_SORTER == 'true') {
  require(DIR_WS_MODULES . zen_get_module_directory(FILENAME_PRODUCT_LISTING_ALPHA_SORTER));

Having the same problem....can not find tpl_index_product_listing.php
I have tpl_index_product_list.php ..working with new zc 1.3.7

Old age ...

tpl_index_product_list.php

is the correct file ... :cool:
