no idea what im doing! - installing a template - ZENCART_SHORT.SQL ?

im having trouble installing a template to my instalation, the readme i got with it doesnt really make sense of what i have to currently do, it says i have to move my template to the includes/templates folder, which i have done(no change) and to update tables with ZENCART_SHORT.SQL, a file which isnt where to readme said it would be. also i have no idea what to do with it. please help!

NOTE: don't forget to select the new template in your Zen Cart Admin (Tools, Template Select) and setup the Sideboxes (Layout Boxes Controller) if needed ...

This sounds like a Template Monster template. Search the forum for them to find out more about their template-building practices. Essentially, their templates mangle standard Zen Cart function.

I think this is a template monster template, or one that needs heavy tweaking

If you do decide to do it, there should usually be two files.

ZENCART_SHORT.SQL
This will tidy up the layout of your site and show the page as it was intended. Most cases it moves the sidebox width and aligns the images on the product listing page.

ZENCART_FULL.SQL
This patch will do all of above patch will do and will also setup like a demo site, With products already in your store.

Theses patches are quite easy to install

FIRST STEP - BACKUP YOUR WEBSITE & then

From you admin hover your mouse over tools and click on install SQL patch.

Find the ZENCART_SHORT.SQL file from your PC and upload.

You should see a green strip at the top of your page if everything went OK.
