What url to put in product catagories section

Hi there.

I am trying to set up a product with multiple downloads.
However, when i press the download button i get a 404 error msg.

To start with. What url do i specify at the bottom of the product information page if there are multiple products? Do i leave it blank?

I have checked in the downloads manager section that both files are linked correctly.

I have enabled download redirects to false.

Instead of linking both of the file formats to one attribute name, i set up two individual attributes, both linked to the one product. The reason for this is because i wanted both formats to be checked as default.

Hope that makes sense.

My patience is running slightly low so i would appreciate any sugguestions.
Thanks!

Re: What url to put in product catagories section

ok. ive narrowed the problem down to the actuall zip file.
I have tried rezipping the file, changing the name etc. The only thing that worked was when i took some of the files out and rezipped.

raagghh?!?!?!?!?
How random!

I need these files and i dont know why they are being seen as corrupt!!!

anyway this is perhaps not the best place to dissus this topic.

cheers!

Re: What url to put in product catagories section

Hi sorry for the delayed response.

The original zipped file was just over 25 mg and after removing some of the files it was around 20 mg.

Im still very confused about this. i have tried transporting the file onto a pc and rezipping the file although this did not work either. I have also tried compressing the files with and without the hidden files created by my mac.

When a file is compressed, how much information is available to the operating sytem used by my hosting provider about the contents of the file?

Is it possible that hidden files could be causing a problem?

Unfortunatly i do not really have any other sugguestions as this is beyond my understanding of file compression.

Thanks.
