Directing Zencart Checkout button to Paypal

Hello all this is my first post of hopefuly many to come

I'm currently working on getting my online business integrated with paypal. I have successfuly attached the paypal check out button and its working, however the zencart check out button is still on and non working.

I would like to either turn the zencart check out button off OR have it direct to the paypal check out process.

Could anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Directing Zencart Checkout button to Paypal

Ok at the end of the check out process, I currently have the option to check out with the zencart "check out" button or the paypal "check out button" like so:

So as of right now the zencart check out button is not working so if the customer tries to use that it will get them no where. So I either want to disable this button or have it link up to the PayPal check out process.

Is there a way to do this?

What have you done to break the checkout? You must have the regular checkout available.

Re: Directing Zencart Checkout button to Paypal

Zen Cart automatically takes a customer to PayPal to complete their payment if they've selected PayPal as their payment choice during the normal checkout process.

If you've busted that process via customizing the checkout then you have three options:

  1. undo what you've done to break it
  2. rebuild the normal infrastructure to work as expected
  3. don't use PayPal

If you were to install a fresh copy of Zen Cart, then turn on and configure one of the PayPal payment modules, you'd be able to immediately take orders and have customers paying with PayPal. It's all built-in and straightforward. I'm not sure why you'd change it.

Aha -- always best to start with root cause.

When you set up your PayPal module in the admin, what "Zone" did you associate with it ?
Try setting it to -None-

Re: Directing Zencart Checkout button to Paypal

v1.3.7.1 has the patches built-in.
Or you could apply the most recent patches yourself:
