Has anybody considered this? (eBay related)

Has anyone either manually (via ezpages or somesuch) or by a mod, linked from their ZenCart to their eBay listings?

I realize that it would be simple-ish to code a static link - I'd actually like to see something more along the lines of what you can do with Amazon, where you can embed the 'store' (or listings list) into a cart page using iframe, or smaller link boxes (java based).

Don't want to re-invent the wheel if it's already out there....

Re: Has anybody considered this? (eBay related)

pelasgos:

There is a mod that allows you to list items from your inventory directly to ebay.

It is Auction Lister pro for zen-cart. You can find it in the "Downloads" section.

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_47&products_id=673

Hope that it works for you...

Thanks, but 2 things -

  1. ALP is currently broken (the mod developer is working feverishly to upgrade this, and include lots of juicy functionality)
  2. The mod lists products from your inventory onto ebay. That's not what I'm looking for.

Feel free to check out our website to see the Amazon links I'm referring to in the original post

May you & yours be safe ...

Seems it may be simpler than I thought :)

you can imbed this into an ezpage:

<center><iframe src="YOUR_EBAY_SELLER_ITEMS" width="95%" height="1000" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes"></iframe></center>

This can be tweaked to suit (I've already done some adjustments to the original (slightly different) code I acquired from peeking at the Amazon code  Obviously, you need to change the 'YOUR_EBAY_SELLER_ITEMS" to the link to your ebay items (easily found by going to your listing page while logged out, and capturing the URL.

Why would you want to take people from your site where you are selling retail
and point them to ebay where items sell for MUCH less than retail?

Actually, I just want them to have the ability to see my (usually very different than store stock) eBay items. It's more of a cross-promotion situation, as our product lines are a little out of the ordinary.

It's a careful dance, admittedly. They're mostly cranky about links.

cheers!

There are "eBay legal" ways of getting your backlinks in every single one of your ads that you run.

Of course you would have to be very nice to an eBay developer to find out how to do this.

Or you could wait for the ebook to come out on it.

Re: Has anybody considered this? (eBay related)

What I have done was joined commission junction which is who eBay uses for payment with their affiliate program. You can then use the eBay tools to get the code you need to build and show your listings.

Best part is that you make a sale, ebay takes less in final value fees since you brought someone in from outside of ebay and you then get a commision from ebay for the sale... its win, win, win!

This is true so long as they register a new account. You get an affiliate commission for the signup.

You also get a small peice of the eBayer wins and bids.
