Caragories/products disappeared

before i had a drop down of catagories on a seperate sidebox and i managed to put the catagories sidebox to only show the 'view all products' and 'featured products' but now ive decided to get rid of the dropdown and i want the standard catagories box back but i cant remember how to get the list of products back :frusty:

can anyone PLEASE! help me im begining to think its impossible :cry:

Turn on the Categories Sidebox? Admin> Tools> Layout Boxes Controller

After re-reading your problem it sounds like you altered the code. Get a copy of the categories sidebox and compare it to the one you are using.

I have tried this and this dosenot work dont know why i have gone through admin and turned all the catagory type options to on/tru, ect and non of this seems to work dont know why :down:
