Auto assign to user group by product purchase

Is there any way to auto -assign a user to a group when they purchase a specific product? I.E. you purchase Product A you are moved to Group A.

What happens if they bought A, B & C?

They remain as are. I only have one special group. The way it works is if you purchase a specific product you now get discounts on other products. It would also be nice to for you not to be able to purchase the original product again once you are part of this group.
