How to remove featured products from category page?

Help needed with Featured Products at category level.

I cannot figure out how to remove featured products from the category pages. I want the featured products only on the main page, but not when you select a category.

Also when I have no products assigned as featured products for a category, the words featured products still show up.

I am using ZenCart v1.3.7.1.

This one I think I know as I just removed featured products from my subcategory pages.

Go to configuration> index listing> Show Featured Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories > set to 0

I had the same problem. Featured Products and New Products were showing on my category pages, and changing Show Featured Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories to 0 had no effect.

The way I finally got them to disappear was to change Show Featured Products - Below Product Listing to 0.

I don't know why this should affect the category page. But I do have the column_layout_grid_for_product_listing contribution installed. Maybe this makes a difference.

I am sorry..forgot to mention, I am using the new zencart v1.3.8

Have you set the settings in the Configuration ... Index Listing ... there are 4 of them there for when to show the Featured Products on Main Page ... :smile:
