International Address's And Usps, Helllp!!!

When ever an international customer enters their info and signs up for an account... they are sad when they hit the "estimate shipping" button only to see a shipping estimate of over $100 for UPS Worldwide as the only option!

I tried testing this with 3 address's. 1 from Portugal, 1 from the UK, and 1 from Finland. All came up with the same issue!!

This means NONE of my International customers are ordering using my new Zen cart!!!! AND I AM LOSING SALES EVERYDAY!!!!

Under the USPS box there is no rates estimated. Instead I only get this message "We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use. If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance. (Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)"

Yea... that aint gonna cut it! Why the heck doesn't the shipping estimator work on International address's????

PLEASE! Can somebody help me fix this problem!!??

BTW, I have Int'l Shipping Methods: Express, Priority Lg, Priority Sm, Priority Var, Airmail Parcel all turned on in the USPS module under Shipping!!

With URLs and test addresses, no one can diagnose a problem ...

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Re: International Address's And Usps, Helllp!!!

if you meant without as opposed to with here is my site

https://www.chelseasbeads.com/shop

you can create an account with a non-us address and try to make a purchase and you will see the same error as the initial poster had in step one of three of the checkout process.

try any of the following active foreign addresses with the account you create to see the problem:

canada:

338 10th Street NW, Unit #1
Calgary, (AB) T2N-1V8

UK:

51 Burnthwaite Road
Fulham
London SW6-5BQ (UK)

france:

89 rue de Seine
75004 Paris (FR)

with these examples and a url can anyone offer any advice???????????

Re: International Address's And Usps, Helllp!!!

ON A SIDE NOTE.... I EMAILED USPS ABOUT THIS ISSUE TOO. THIS WAS THERE RESPONSE:

Dear USPS Customer,

Thank you for contacting us. On May 14th, 2007 the US Postal Service made a rate change for both domestic and international packages. The rate change resulted in a change in coding for both the international and domestic rate Webtools API's. The technical guide for these updates are available online by going to the link below:

http://www.usps.com/webtools/htm/Rate-Calculators-v1-2.htm

If you are using a third party software and need assistance, please contact the vendor of the software.

Thank you.

Re: International Address's And Usps, Helllp!!!

Check and see which shipping modules for UPS you have active (checked) ...

With all checked, I get quite a selection for Canada ...

What weight are you shipping?

Re: International Address's And Usps, Helllp!!!

Actually I didn't check r1b8x7... but I was more concerned with the USPS than UPS since it was so much cheaper. That update fixed my issue.
