The page isn't redirecting properly - HELP

I just started getting this error:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

• This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

It was working perfectly this morning and have never had any problems. Today this happens upon checkout after selecting shipping method.

None of my server settings have been changed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

oh additionally.... I have seen other posts with this error, however those seemed to be happening at the admin login.
In this case, it is happening on check out when you hit continue after selecting your shipping preference.
So its doing it right before the checkout/payment page.

Ive been looking around for hours and haven't found anything yet.

Is the checkout process one that you might have edited any files in?

The error you describe is usually related to directives within an .htaccess file.

Presuming you have not moved Hosters and your Hoster did not move you to another Server, and neglected to tell you, I can only suggest you start with the main .htaccess file and then start checking the others within the related directories.

I tested an order with another customer account and it worked with no problems at all.
It seemed to only be happening with my user account so I recreated it and all is well. But now I wonder why that would happen to only a couple accounts and not others.
