Auth-Only mode doesn't allow capture

Hello All,

I'm running a brand new install of ZC 1.3.7.1 with PP Express Checkout as my lone payment module. I'm running in LIVE MODE.

I've got everything working great, except for one small issue. When I receive an order, it goes into "Pending" status by default since Paypal is set up for Auth-Only. But when I login to the admin to capture the funds and process, I only have the options for PAID ORDERS - such as DO FULL REFUND & DO PARTIAL REFUND.

In searching around for answers, I saw that I can append: "&authcapt=on" to the URL and get the Authorization Capture options. But... is there some reason why I can't get this automatically? Once I turn over order processing to a non-technical person, I'd prefer if they didn't have to manually append to the URL. Any advice on getting this to work properly would be appreciated!
Does anyone else running Auth-Only have this issue?

The v1.3.8 interface will have those options enabled automatically

I don't know, but I have 1.3.8a installed and auth-only doesn't show any Capture of payments at all on the orders summary page in the admin. Any ideas what is wrong?

I'm not very clear on what exactly you're saying is the problem.
Are you saying that you don't have any orders on the summary page?
What do you mean by "summary page" anyway? The listing of orders wouldn't show any information about capture vs auth details anyway.
Are you saying that the orders were directly captured automatically?
Are you saying that the orders are present but have no auth details?

What I am saying is I have PayPal Express Checkout setup as Auth-Only and on the orders information screen there is no "capture" button. I have to manually login to PayPal and press the capture button there.

In the order screen, the "Voiding Order Authorizations" section moved UNDER the grey PayPal informations, but there is no capture button available.

DrByte (or anyone with the answer), would you please clarify this, you mentioned the interface in ZC 1.3.8 would have the capture option enabled automatically. However, this does not appear to be the case.

I have a store running ZC 1.3.7, although the capture option is not displayed, by simply adding &authcapt=on at the end of the url, this will enable and display several features: Order refunds, Order authorizations, Capture authorizations and Voiding order authorizations.

Now I just finished setting up a new store with ZC 1.3.8a
When I go to the order details, all I see is the Voiding Order Authorizations feature. Even when I add &authcapt=on at the end of the url, I still only see Voiding order authorizations.

Is this how ZC 1.3.8 is supposed to work?

I also have a question on this. I have a new 1.3.8a cart and just added the Paypal express. Did a test transaction with authorization, got the transaction, etc., but as the above poster said, in the order it only has a button for voiding the authorization, no button to capture the funds.

Dr. Byte's post siad that in 1.3.8 there would be buttons in the order to capture funds, but it is nowhere to be seen. Anyone have any other info on this?
