Language gif not showing

Hi everyone , hows ya doin ?
need some help...
Just installed a new spanish language pack to my shop and and followed everything to the line ...did everything throuh FTP , installed the language in ADMIN/INCLUDES/LANGUAGE and in INCLUDES/LANGUAGES.
Everything has gone over fine ...went to my shop admin ..logged in ..created new language all good ..but then I have the yellow message at the top saying
'MISSING LANGUAGE FILES OR DIRECTORIES....Spanish' and the gif for the lanuage flag is not showing just a white box and the red X...so i checked all the files in Spanish language folder and they are all there including the gif and php.

whats wrong ? any ideas how to rectify this?

Hi,

This is probably not the solution but it could be. :smile:
did you put them in a folder called spanish or Spanish?
If it is a Linux server the two folder names are different folders for the OS.

thanks for the reply...when you ask 'did I put them in a folder named Spanish or spanish' do you mean that the named folders should both consist of lowercase lettering and did you mean the folders in my server ADMIN/INCLUDES/LANGUAGE and in INCLUDES/LANGUAGES ?

I will go and rename them all lowercase now and see what that does.

Hi..i just went to my 'control panel' on my server and the folders are all named'spanish' (lowercase) the folders when you need to create a new language in ZEN are all named with uppercase 1st letter 'Spanish' English etc ... so Im lost on this one
any ideas ?

in admin panel use lowercase and in your folders use lowercase.
And yes linux is case sensitive so beware:smartalec:

hi Ronald ...excuse me for bein a bit doofy on this ...but just to clarify ...you mean 'admin panel' in my Zen admin right ?...if so i renamed any that were uppercase...any way I will delete the folders on my server and on my zen admin and try uploading again

Hi,

Just rename the folders that you created/copied to lowercase names and also do this in the (zen) admin panel. That should work.

hey Ronald ...all done !! i didnt put the info in the boxes required for the new language in Zen ...i only named the folder but left the other boxes free ( I mean the directory box ) so i put the info in there to ..its working now ...jees we can be idiots at times..but listen thanks for the help buddy..i really appreciate that ....stay in touch if ya like ...I see your in Amsterdam ..im going there in December ..i have a sister in Enschede

Yes it is "very":D easy to have your own zencart look.
With the help of the zencart forum members almost anything can be done:cool:
