Where are the admin settings for what to show when cart is empty?

v1.3.6

I wanted to surpress some of the sections that are shown when your shopping cart it empty.. ..such as when a customer deleted eveything from their cart.

It appears in tpl_shopping_cart_default.php that there are configuration settings for the following:

  Searching 903 files ... for: SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY  **C:\Inetpub\vhosts\sacredfiremag.com\httpdocs/shop/includes/classes/db/mysql/define_queries.php**

Line #34 : DEFINE('SQL_SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY',"select configuration_key, configuration_value from " . TABLE_CONFIGURATION . " where configuration_key RLIKE 'SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY' and configuration_value > 0 order by configuration_value");
C:\Inetpub\vhosts\sacredfiremag.com\httpdocs/shop/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_shopping_cart_default.php
Line #177 : $show_display_shopping_cart_empty = $db->Execute(SQL_SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY);

Line #183 : if ($show_display_shopping_cart_empty->fields['configuration_key'] == 'SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY_FEATURED_PRODUCTS') { ?>

Line #193 : if ($show_display_shopping_cart_empty->fields['configuration_key'] == 'SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY_SPECIALS_PRODUCTS') { ?>

Line #203 : if ($show_display_shopping_cart_empty->fields['configuration_key'] == 'SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY_NEW_PRODUCTS') { ?>

Line #213 : if ($show_display_shopping_cart_empty->fields['configuration_key'] == 'SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY_UPCOMING') {

..but I couldn't find where to set these in admin. I couldn't even find them searching through the admin files.

Do I have to modify the database by hand?
:blink:

You can quick-locate those constants (ie: SHOW_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY_FEATURED_PRODUCTS) via the developers toolkit (Admin->Tools) by pasting the constant name in the "Look up Constant" box, and pressing Enter.

You'll find that they're all in Admin->Configuration->Stock

Re: Where are the admin settings for what to show when cart is empty?

I searched many times, but I didn't think I had to use the lookup contant search.. ..that's strange.

The admin menus for Zen-Cart are some of the most bizzare nightmere-ish arrangement of mixed up concept I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). I can't believe someone hasn't rearranged them all to be more sensible, it's completely absurd.

Thank you. We know. You'll notice on our Development Roadmap that we've dedicated an entire release to a rewrite of the admin in the near future.
