How to Skin Zen Cart?

Hi a Newbie here, I've been going round in circles for the last few hours
trying to find how to skin Zen Cart? chances are this has been asked before.

could somebody please in plain english explain how to skin the site from start to finish. In all honesty I would like to create something along the lines of this site

as at present all the modulars are in boxes. also can you switch modulars from the lefthand side to right hand side & visa versa?

Start by reading some of the tutorials, and the stickies at the top pf the Customizing the Look of Your Shop subforums.

All of the sideboxes can have borders or not, controlled by the stylesheet, and can be moved wherever you want in either sidebar or turned off, controlled in admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller.
