remove navigation on the top

hello to you,

i was able to install zencart and it runs!!!:clap:

i also connected it with another css file and it works fine so far. what i want is

remove the navigation bar on the top completely
put in a banner - but where do i have to add the banner code and the url?

I was able to remove the navigation bar - some helpfull links came up on the bottom of this page...now it´s just the banner which bothers me - can anyone help?
