product shipping weight: and postage

Products Shipping Weight:

the above text is displayed on the the poage in which you use to enter the prouct infomation.

how can i change this to say produc shipping cost.

also on the product diplay screen (the screen customers see) to say postage cost, then on the shipping estimator to show the same.

basically i use the shipping weight as the shipping cost. ie 1kg is £1 to post so i would like to dispay the postage cost, like ebay basically.

Also how can i set free postage for all orders over £200 (not including the postage costs)

Don't quite understand your first question but to enable free shipping for all orders over £xxx you need to go to Admin>Modules>Shipping and install the "Free Shipping Options" module. Enter the amount in the box under "Total >="

on all my item pages ie a customer viewing a product it shows the shiiping weight

i want to change this so it says

shipping cost: 1.25

also in the admin section where you enter a new product it says shipping weight and you enter the weight i want it to say, shipping cost, then i enter the price of shipping.

i have the shipping weight workign as the price, so if i enter 2.00kg it costs £2 to the price for shipping, but it displays it as weight not price, basically the lable is wrong.

which files need changing. used the tool in the admin to find all the mentions of weight but i dont want to change something i shouldn't

OK, forget about changing things. Use the table rate shipping module instead and you can choose between "per weight unit", "per price unit" or "per item".
