Fast and Easy Checkout

DrByte said that creating an extra_datafile will load before filenames.php and the constants will not be redefined. This eliminates all core overwrites, but we still have the issue of being able to disable the module from the admin... I'm open to any idea's on how to use conditional statements with the database in a definitions file...

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout

Sorry, it's extra_configures, and this now makes the mod successfully a non-overwrite mod!

However, there is no way to turn on/off the module from the extra_configures and the only way to deactivate without uninstalling is to remove the one extra_configures file.

So, the mod appears to be completed and has been documented. The readme.txt also goes into detail about how the mod works so that it's easily customizeable for each site. Once it has been thoroughly bug tested by myself and another tester, it will be made publicly downloadable on the Numinix Technology website (which is soon to have a design upgrade in the next few days).

Right, or just rename the .php file in the extra_configures folder to .OFF instead of .php, which will prevent it from loading.

I've made a note in the readme.txt to rename the file to .bak, but .OFF may be more appropriate. I'm going to write a third version of the script which will also give the option to do a split page for the checkout just like in the login page.

But first, I'm going to create a new login split page that has the create account integrated to reduce that by an extra step as well. Which means that customers will be reduced to only 2-3 steps once they have clicked the checkout button if they are not already logged in or registered!

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout

And if you can somehow let the guests checkout as well that would be super

I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout

I have no plans to write that module at this time...

But, there is a script called Zen Magick which apparently has this feature. But, that is a heavily modified version of Zen Cart and once you take that road I believe you are stuck with it?

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout

Fixed all known bugs.

Also found a bug in U. SEO that we'll add to our readme.txt.

Should be ready for release this weekend!
