can you give a % discount on the UPS shipping mod ?

Id like to pass my negotiated rates back to my customers and discount shipping . is there a way to do a percentage discount with the UPS shipping calculator ?

I see you can give a negative handling fee but it wont work with percentages ... is there any way to do this ? Id like like to give 20% off UPS published rates.

You can customize the shipping module to reduce the cost by 20% ...

Look to where the quote is finally built:

$methods[] = array('id' => $type,
'title' => $this->types[$type],
'cost' => ($cost + MODULE_SHIPPING_UPS_HANDLING) * $shipping_num_boxes);

and make your alterations there ...

Might be a nice addition in the future to the UPS module . I know most people get 10-60% off published daily pick up rates depending on volume . Im sure im not the only one that would like to pass some of the savings back to the customer : )

Someone told me there was a mod you can install from UPS that will calculate the exact rates that UPS charges with discounts and incentives.

I dont know for sure about UPS but I know fedex wont allow you to show the discounted rates, you are only allowed to display the published rates

hmm , my UPS rep said he has a API he can try to integrate that will show the actual rates we are charged . let ya know
