Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Hi Conor,

Just to let you know everything is working great now. As I was completing the configuration of an installation by another person I decided to reinstall the protx module afresh and it fixed it. I also got Blowfish working as well.

Thanks for your help and great contribution to zen-cart. Kudos!
:D

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Hello Conor,

I still didn't get the Protx module working (yet still with the VSP Simulaor). It seems it works but there is no transactions at the simulator site.

I know that the Zen Cart "knocks at the door", since when I changed the vendorname, it says - cannot find such a name. BUT with a correct name, it does not leave any traces on "Transactions". And the Zen Cart goes back to the credit card details. No warnings in red (as with the vendorname).

I reinstalled the module as the person above - no changes.

Can you point out where can be the problem?

By the way what is the "Scripting language"? Is it PHP or Javascript?

Thank you.

Hi,

Flower:

You should be using the "Test" transaction mode, not the "VSP Simulator". Transactions will then show up in the "Test" transaction VSP admin.

Flower:

By the way what is the "Scripting language"? Is it PHP or Javascript?

Both PHP and JavaScript are used.

All the best...

Conor

Connor, thank you for reply. But I still use VSP simulator at the Protx end. What should I put down at the Protx account as scripting language - PHP or Javascript?

Since you haven't compelted your Protx application yet it's no surprise that you don't have a transaction history! :) This is available only with the test or live accounts.

Put "PHP" as the scripting language, although it really doesn't matter.

All the best...

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Conor,

does it means that your module doesn't support the VSP simulator? At the Protx end, they say that the VSP simulator is able to work as the live module. But they say that some modules can not work with the VSP simulator (probably this is the case with yours).

The reason I am still working with the VSP simulator is because I am waiting for a merchant account in a bank which is neccssary in order to open account with Protx.

Thank you for the help.

Hi,

Flower:

It did last time I checked.. The simulator doesn't have a transaction history as far as I know.

At the Protx end, they say that the VSP simulator is able to work as the live module.

That's incorrect.

The reason I am still working with the VSP simulator is because I am waiting for a merchant account in a bank which is neccssary in order to open account with Protx.

You should be able to get a test account with Protx. Then once you get your merchant account you go go back to your Protx application and enter your merchant account number.

Everyone uses the test transaction mode to test the module - I suggest you do too.

Hope that helps and saves you some time.

All the best...

Conor

A big thankyou to Conor for an excellent module.

It couldn't get any easier to add this to your site.

Follow the instructions and its ready to rock and roll in less than five minutes.

Thanks again

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Hello there,

Anyone else getting problems with Maestro Cards lately?

Some of our customers contacted us that they get "Internet Explorer cannot read the page format" and the error code is 406: Not Acceptable when they use Maestro. I just tested it and it is the case and im not sure why. Tested Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit and Elektron and all of them works.

Tested Solo and the same error appears but only when there is no Start Date entered. But doesn't most Solo cards does not have this?

Main problem is Maestro, whether I enter Start Date or not, the error appears. Is this with Protx? Maestro? or with our site? Never had this problem before and have received quite a bit of Maestro payments in the past.

Please help.

Thx

Had a client reporting Mastercard (same thing I think) problems with Paypal a day or two back. This may be a Mastercard / Maestro issue.

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Hi, I've just installed protx direct on the latest version of zencart. I was impressed with the documentation and all appears to work really well but noticed I can see the credit card details when I view source. Is that normal or should should they be encrypted?
I installed curl/blowfish as described and do no get any error messages.

Hi Habib,

gmail:

Thanks for the nice comment!

Yes, it is normal to see the credit card details in the source of the confirmation page. You are simply seeing the data that user has posted from the payment page to the confirmation page. This posting of data is done over an SSL connection (if you have SSL on the site, which is required for this module).

Any data being used on earlier parts of the checkout process (if a user changes their mind about shipping options or the quantity of any item they have in their cart) is stored in the session using Blowfish encryption and removed if/once the customer leaves the checkout process. Between the payment and confirmation page no encryption is used.

All the best...

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Hi Conor,

my site function during 1 month. Your module works fine. Good job. I have a problem with layout at the Check OUT page. Therefore, it may somehow connected to your module.

When a customer goes to the Check Out page, two text lines appear at the top of the screen, pusshing the whole template down by a width of these two line. The text uses the whole width of the screen. The text strarts with "Welcome to ..., and then contunues with all keywords Meta Tags.
See, the text:
"Welcome to EliteBra - ladies underwear online shop!" /> Welcome to EliteBra - ladies underwear online shop! - Bras Knickers, Thongs & Strings ,buy bra online, ladies knickers, bras uk,panties,lingerie,underwear,g-strings,lingerie uk,buy underwear lingerie, womens briefs, ladies underwear online, ladies briefs, online lingerie shop, shorties" />"

First, I thought that it is a SSL pages problem. In fact, not. Because, on Log In page the text does not appear (I have a dedicated SSL ceriticate).

The problem didn't exist in the beginning. It appeared after I installed a few new Add-ons. So, it is most likely not related to your module, but nevertheless I decided to ask. Just in case.

The template is SexyPink, the site - http://www.elitebralingerie.com

To see this, you have to register - use any name you want. I will delete afterward.

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

It is nothing to do with the protx module, for some reason you have

<font face="verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" color="#CC3366">Welcome to EliteBra - ladies underwear online shop!</font>

in your title text and in your meta keywords. This is causing the search engine keywords to be displayed, as well as the word fot etc... in the title bar of the webpages. You need to edit

includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php

or wherever the tags are that you added to the site. This is visible here

http://elitebralingerie.com/shop/index.php?main_page=create_account_success

and probably on other pages, this tutorial may help.

Thank you

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

philipe_clarke thanks.

The reason is very simple. I installed the product filter by attributes. Its define file overides the header Welcome message. So, I put the Welcome message there, and added some color to the text.

I didn't know that it appears in the Meta Tags.

I am not sure that this cause the appearence on the Check Out pages (if this is the case, the text should appear on all pages). But I will check.

In any case, thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

philipe_clarke

You are absolutely right! If I delete the font & color in the Welcome line - the text lines disappear!!!

In this case, I have a question, which is beyond of this thread - How to make the Welcome line in color?

Once again - thanks

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Conor,

I have been trying to turn on the 3d secure element of your module for a couple of days, withour much luck I am afraid.

I have 3d setup in vsp admin as described in the documentationa nd also enabled in the back end of teh store.

The problem comes with the iframe it cant find the expected page, which then redirects back to to our frontpage (due to a rule created for 404's).

I have dug through the source code and this is the url that isnt being found (on a recent test purchase)

https://www.mydomain.co.uk/protx_direct_3d_secure_iframe.php?ACSURL=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.securesuite.co.uk%2Fhbos%2Ftdsecure%2Fopt_in_dispatcher.jsp%3Fpartner%3Dhx_vdc%26VAA%3DB&PaReq=eJxVUttSwjAQffcrOnxAc%2BmdWcKgOIgzYEf5gZoutlJaSFNBv94EimAmD3v2cnb3JDA%2BbivnC1VbNvVowFw6GIs7WBUKcfqGslMoYIFtm32gU%2BajAaeMe4HPIsb9kCacUTYQkE5ecS%2Bg5xGGxuVALtAQKFlktRaQyf39fCn8hIVRBKSHsEU1nwrOfeb5nkfPB8jZDXW2RaEwf8%2BqqmnqQgI5uUA2Xa3Vt4h5COQCoFOVKLTeDQk5HA7utbBpW9TalY3bbYDYNCDX0dLOWq2hPZa5WE9ZxJfr7Fk%2Bfm5W85eZt1ukP7OiJpsREJsBeaZRcEoTyrnnsGTIA3OBnPyQbe08gtk9eht2tsXkJnDrACO2wlpe1rkgwOOuqdFkGEn%2FbMixlSJVjT46i3RuuloM5LrFw5OVW2qjYByHXhLEIY2DKKZxbIU%2FBSx3aTRjjJ3JLQBiS0n%2FpqR%2FfWP9%2BxW%2FJry5RQ%3D%3D&MD=2012354171246092101&zenid=3a73d067051f0e68a94087681747472f

have you experienced this before and if so how can I resolve?

Thanks

Yes, it's often a problem with a mod like Ultimate SEO etc.

I'll be in contact with you to see if we can sort this out!

Conor,

Thanks for the quick support on my previous request.

For future reference I had a file missing from the payment module.

Once it was uploaded everything worked fine.

Thanks again

Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

Hi,

Just want to post here to inform those using the Protx Direct module about the fact that Protx have changed their name to SagePay (Sage Pay).

The module will be discontinued and a new SagePay module will be released instead. It'll essentially be the same except for changing the name. It'll simply be renamed to sagepay_direct instead of protx_direct and will have both the Protx and Sage Pay logos. There's a good 6 months for everyone to upgrade so there's no rush.

All you'll have to do is install the module, copy across your configuration settings, disable the "old" protx_direct module and that's it, just use the sagepay_direct module as if nothing had happened!

Once customers get used to "SagePay", the Protx logo can be disabled in the sidebox.

All the best...

Conor
