Image upload in Contact Us

I would like to include a way for my customers to upload an image while they are filling out the "Contact Us" form. Is this something that can be done?

You could write a script that handles that (or find one) and have it pop up in a new layer (keeping them on the same page). Just a thought. I'm sure there is a better way to do this.

Well, I'm kinda new to this, especially PHP. Is there anyother way anyone can think of to allow my customers to upload a photo via the Contact Us page?

I have plenty of ideas, but what are you going to do with this pic, are you going to store it in server and what folder and will it be linked to a users email address or are you tring to email the pictures with the users message, is your messages being archived/stored, you need to be a little more clear on what you need,

Our store sells Reverse Osmosis Filters. We would like our customers to be able to email us a picture of their Reverse Osmosis System so we can tell them what type of Filters they need to purchase. So, I guess we just need a picture attached to the email that is being sent from the Contact Us page. Once we receive and view the picture, there should be no further need to keep/store the picture.

Could you just add an extra field for the model number of their system?

This might make things easier as it would avoid bad (poor quality) photos being uploaded.

The problem with adding another field for a model number is that some customers don't know what model they have. That is why we wanted to add the ability to upload a photograph. Our sales people can tell what type / size filters they would need based on their photograph.
