Adding Cart to several pages

Hi there,

I think what I'm trying to do is a bit complicated, but I hope someone can help!

I am trying to make a few 'pages' as 'modules' so that I can display them as a right bar but not have them be separate pages.

Here is an example of what I mean:

Products Page and Product Description Page would contain pages as rightbar module: shopping_cart, login/registration, shipping, confirmation.

I wanted to avoid using iframe to achieve this.

Is there a way to have these pages show in a <div> in any page I like, kind of like a module? I could style that using CSS? I am hoping there is an affordable way of doing this.

If I'm understanding you correctly, there are a couple of mods that will get you started. Check the downloads area (and its new Search facility!) for a sidebox module for log in and registration and another for shopping cart. There is also a download which gives you an empty sidebox, I think, so you can put in it whatever you want.

For the shopping cart module, does it mean I am able to update quantities in as well? Basically, I thought I'd like to have everything same as shopping cart page, but have that as a module instead.

The task of adding AJAX is another story, but it is a requirement. I'll have to figure something.

I don't think you can update in that mod, but you can always download it and try.

By the sounds of it, you're going to be doing a lot of coding. Zen wasn't designed to incorporate large chunks of other things into its structure. But then, I doubt if it was designed to prevent that either, so give it a try and let us know how it works out.
