Products Have Disappeared

Hello-

My store has been running fine for a long time. I got a report from a customer just now that she was trying to order something and it wouldn't process so I went to test the site and it no longer lists any products unless they are a "featured product." It shows that there are products in the categories but when you go to that category, there is nothing in it.

Any thought on what might've caused this. I haven't done anything that would cause it to change.

Thanks.

Re: Products Have Disappeared

What are you settings under Admin> Configuration> Stock? Do the items in questions have zero stock levels?

Re: Products Have Disappeared

I was wondering if anyone has any other ideas on this matter. I'd really like to try and figure this out by the end of the night Sunday as our playoffs start this week and our traffic will greatly increase. Thanks.

Re: Products Have Disappeared

I'm still trying to solve this issue and have had no luck. Does anyone have any out-of-the-box thoughts on this one? I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Products Have Disappeared

I had someone look into this and it looks fine to them. Is there any setting in the admin that might create this issue?

Are these in the products_to_categories table?

How many times?

Are these in 1 or more than one Category?

Do you have an Category that holds both Categories and Products?

What version of Zen Cart are you running?

Clean install or an Upgrade?

How did you install?

How did you upgrade?

Re: Products Have Disappeared

What version of Zen Cart are you running? 1.3

Clean install or an Upgrade? Clean Install on Lunarpages

How did you install? - through LunarPages Fantastico

How did you upgrade? - No upgrade yet because I have major issues every time I try to upgrade.

This store has been running flawlessly for about 1-1/2 years and this problem just seemed to pop-up.

Re: Products Have Disappeared

Do a search on:
/new_shop

and use the Advanced Search so you can find things over the last year or so ...

There are numerous threads from simple to more robust to click for click more or less on how to do upgrades and not run into the nightmare ...

1 Download the Current version of Zen Cart from the Download link at the top of your page ... don't use something else to upgrade you ...

2 Never upgrade a live site always upgrade a working site ...

3 practice doing the upgrade until you can do it right each time in your sleep ...

4 test test test ...
