Auto catagory images

Hi,
I have my zen-cart set up and running and I have lots of catagorys/sub-catagories.

At present I have not got catagory images set for every catagory, is it possible to make zen cart automatically take the image from the first product in a catagory and set it as the catagory image?

example: if it was a 3 tier product Main catagory|sub catagory|product the image that is used for product would also be applied to main catagory and sub catagory.

This probably isn't available but it would save me alot of time if it were.

Or even make it so that it picks a random picture from within that catagory rather than the first pic.

By definition, since one Catagory can hold many Products, a Catagory Image is not or should not be, the same as a Product Image. What you are wanting to do goes against the Zen Cart coding and would require some custom coding of your own.

Not sure why you don't have a specific Catagory Image you can use but perhaps you should turn OFF using Catagory images? Off-hand, I don't remember where that is done in the Admin section but if you use the "FAQ" link at the top of this page, it would be a good place to start looking.

Looking to do the same thing.. Any Thoughts?
