Popups.. Not for products?

I'm trying to set up a fabric gallery page on my site for people that want to place custom orders. I'd like to have thumbnail images of the fabric, with a popup window for the full size image. I thought I had set up the javascript right to get them working, but when I click the links nothing happens. Anyone know what I may be doing wrong? I'm using EZPages to set the page up.

Figures as soon as I post this, I get it working!

Now it's not working again?!? Half the links aren't loading anything, and the ones that do are loading in the same page, not as a pop-up. sigh

I think I see the problem though. I'm copying the following HTML into my particular page, which reads it correctly. BUT, if I go back to view/edit the file, it reads the HTML as text, and is changing the symbols so the head doesn't read.

Is this a problem where I'm going to have to change it back every time I edit the file, or is there a way to permanently fix this?
