Best approach

Hi all

As a complete newbie to store creation, i was just wondering which is the best approach to configuring my store;

A) Populate the store and configure the admin side

                            OR

B) Customizing the design of the store

and how much does one approach effect the other?

I always put a few products in the store first, because you will need them to test your layout (template design) and also to test your admin settings.

I then add any contributions I may need from the downloads area

Once I know the site layout is how I want it and it is working (ie I didn't break it adding any contributions) I then add the full inventory.

Doing it this way if I do break the site, I can easily start again without losing the entire inventory which can be quite time consuming to add.

Remember to use the overide system, if you don't you will regret it later.
