Personalised downloads

Hi,

A few of the items I sell at my store are personalised certificates which can be sent electronically. My question is...

Once the customer has paid and sent me the personalisation deatils, can I make the certificate and upload it to the downloads area and then the customer is sent the download link, rather than sending the download link before the item is placed in the download area.

In an ideal world it would be great if zen cart could interact with my certificate making program and automatically generate certificates for download but I realise that is just a pipe dream.

If you're talking about gift certificates you could use Zen Cart's built-in Gift Certificate facilities ... https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=64

If you want to interact with another program, you'll have to write custom code to make it happen.

If i am correct you would like to disable the email to customer and would like to email him after the certificate is complete, that would require work on your part as you would have to manualy email each customer with a link for the down load. as far as the automated email i would edit it to tell the customer that he will recive an email when the product is complete, or posibly create a code that puts the order in pending with an if statment to check the data base for product at that point it may be posible to have the system do all the work for you.

as far as incorperating the aplication you have i dont know what it is or if it is web based,
