making a custom Template Need some help

I made a custom template and then when I loaded it up and went to tools and template selection and a blank page loaded but when I take out the custom template from the FTP the template selections works just fine. Any help?

where did you place all your new files at when you made your new template.

I placed them in the template folder I have done this a ton of time but for some reason it will not work this time. any ideas?

did you place your update files in the right folders ie your custom folder?
