Remove the required field DOB?

Dear All:
Since my customer complain about they need to put into their Date of birth when they create their new account? Is there anyone know where we change modify and take out the required function of DOB (date of birth) and the system won't check the DATE of birth when a customer creating their new account.

I removed mine by:

Admin > Configuration > Customer Details > Date of Birth = false

If you still would like to have Date of Birth asked but not required it can be configured for this by using a combination setting starting with the Configuration ... Customer Details ...

Date of Birth
Display date of birth field during account creation and with account information
NOTE: Set Minimum Value Date of Birth to blank for not required
Set Minimum Value Date of Birth > 0 to require

true
false

Then set the minimum in the Configuration ... Minimum Values ...

Date of Birth
Minimum length of date of birth

NOTE: remove the * in the language file ...
