Access Product Information outside of Zen Cart

Hello,

I was wondering if the forum can provide some comments and assistance in setting up Zen Cart and having multiple websites with static pages call product information, and then this sites would all flow through the shopping cart to checkout. Basically I would have a Dozen or so sites that each have unique products, but I would have a separate site that would store all product information, and each of these sites would simply access the product information in this main cart.

Is there a way to add product information to static web pages outside of the cart pages??

I am wondering how much flexibility Zen Cart has to be able to do this.

Does anybody of examples of this setup. Or using this type of setup.

Basically, you can not have another site or page with buy now/add to cart functions as Zen Cart is not modular and relies on sessions for control and security.

There are ways to display certian content mostly sideboxes on other sites and these methods are in the download/other section of this site

I was hoping for some other answer, but appreciate your response.

Do you know of other shopping carts similar to zen cart that can handle the functionality that I am looking for?

Pretty much I would be looking to add the "Buy now" buttons on external static pages.

And I dont think this module covers that.

DrByte linked to one of the modules to represent sideboxes on an external page.
But as you want "Buy Now/add to cart" functions I reiterate that Zen Cart is not designed to be used that way. It is intended to become your main portal.
