Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

Urgent Help Needed....

Customers can add stuff to your cart and it looks like they log in to check out, but when they hit "check out," they go back to the log in page.

I cannot log in to the admin side of the store either.

synopsis of what had to happen to get the server back up...

cpanel tried to update the php or mysql...
tech support had to reload the cpanel and rebuild apache and php module

we are currently running versions of php 5.23 and mysql 4.0.27

Nothing was done to change the cart... it has to be in the fact that they had to reload the cpanel, apache and PHP.

Please help.....

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

First, try cheating ...

Edit the file:
/admin/includes/configure.php

and turn off the Enable on the secure page ...

Can you login?

If so, what are your session settings?

If not ...

Check and see if this is a session setting ...

Do a search in phpMyAdmin for all of the configuration_key from the configuration table:

SELECT * FROM configuration WHERE configuration_key LIKE '%session%';

You may have an issue with:
SESSION_RECREATE

Set it to: False

NOTE:

tech support had to reload the cpanel and rebuild apache and php module

Are you sure they managed your secure server right?

Do any secure pages work?

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

Thank you for responding so quickly...

I am waiting for them to tell me when I can try the first cheat (so I don't counter act what they are working on - probably the cpanel?)

I did do the query for the sessions and the
session_recreate is false

I will get back with you as soon as I try the cheat.

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

still nothing...

you can see pages if you add the https, but you don't have access to the secure pages (like on the admin side)

we temporarily set the enable_ssl_admin to false ... still cannot log in to admin
same for catalog.

setting up a new account writes to the database, but you get the following error...

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
/home/---------/public_html/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_c
reate_account_success_default.php on line 26

any thoughts? we sure appreciate your time! :)

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

we have another store on the same server that is 1.2.7

we get the following error on that one on the homepage and the admin...

Fatal error: Call to a member function Execute() on a non-object in /home/--------/public_html/----------/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 72

Could you post, from the server, the file:
/admin/includes/configure.php

without your username and password?

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

Sorry I keep adding on...I just keeping thinking of more things...

Are there any special PHP settings that Zen cart requires in the PHP.ini?

Grasping at straws....

define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/home/-------/public_html/cache');

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

this is what they are currently trying...

We’re going to try downgrading php. We think with the cpanel upgrade yesterday it may have upgraded the php version to one that’s not compatible with zencart.

"We’re going to try downgrading php to version 4.4.4."

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

ok... i think we are on our way...
they went down to 4.4.4.. I redid the template..

going down the classic template was of big help in this to troubleshoot the fact that something in our current template didn't jive with their botched or bungled PHP... which they have now repaired. :)

the pest was an include i had for a custom header and menu and all seems good now that i have put a virtual path in it...

well ... we will see when they get back to 5.2.3

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

this is how it stands right now... and i get intermittent errors...

php is 5.2.4
MySQL 5.0.45
PHP Version: 5.2.4 (Zend: 2.2.0)
Zen Cart 1.3.6
Database Patch Level: 1.3.6

any suggestions?

Last error i saw in admin... coupon restrictions screen

Catchable fatal error: Object of class queryFactoryResult could not be converted to string in /home2/store/public_html/foozen/includes/functions/html_output.php on line 333

please advise

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

Zen Cart v1.3.6 is probably not fully compliant with php and mysql 5.

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Re: Urgent Help Needed...Recovering from Site Crash...

Hello,
I had somewhat similar problem.

Web hosting company had drive crash on their server (this is their description).
I have Zen Cart there 1.2.6.

After they "recreated" site I have following problems:

I can see main page, but sometimes I need to refresh it couple times.
Otherwise note comes "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
I can see category pages with the same lack.
I can not see products pages. Page comes "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". When i click button back on browser, I see product is blinking and disapereing.

My admin password does not work anymore.
When I type loging name and password and click ENTER, I got following picture:
http://idtagsonline.com/loggin_error.gif

Right of loggin button this message comes: <a style="float: right;" href="

I feel my hosting provider does not have any ideas how to fix it.

I did not do anything myself yet, as I prefere not damage anything even more.

My first though was use "Resend Password".
Does it make sence?

However I have a feeling than even backup of Zen Cart was performed there is some mismatch somewhere.

Any suggestions where to start?

Thanks for help in advance
