attribute out of stock

Hi All,

How do you mark an attribute (not an item) out of stock? For example, I have an item that has two sizes small and large. Customers choose which size via a dropdown box. How do I mark one of the sizes out of stock but not the other?

I noticed that I could make an attribute display only, which is what I have done. If a customer trys to add the size that has the attribute as display only it gives an error. But is it possible to add another choice to the attribute manager for out of stock? Has anyone done this?

I just installed a module by Kuroi (go to downloads on this help page) and look for attributes with stock. Install that aand you can manage attributes stock. BUT - for some reason it is not working for me and I hope to get a reply soon as to why...
