Problems with some downloads

I have my store set up for downloadable goods, it's working fine, except I've had 2 people email me with this as their problem:

i click on download and i get a new page that has thousands of
text/symbols that dont make sense... it opens in a textedit window!

ahhhh what am i doing wrong?! lol...

I have no idea what the problem is. I can download it fine, I have had probably 50 or so people buy/use the download, only 2 with the problem. Any idea what it could be?

And for future reference.. Where is my error log? I can't for th elife of me find it.... I'm having trouble with e-check payments as well.

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

If you're using 1.3.7 or 1.3.7.1, try installing the updated download code from this post, as it contains a number of improvements built-in to the unreleased 1.3.8 code:

Are you referring to PayPal e-checks? Or something else?
If it's PayPal, have you applied the PayPal updates for 1.3.7 ?

Yes, was referring to paypal.. I got the updates and installed the new patches.. Thank you.. How do I test it now?

I think it's working now.. I just have no idea on how to test everything. I also just got the error "sorry we are not accepting payments from your region at this time" from someone else. I searched on here and changed the modules, hoping that works.
