SSL Problem

Hi all, I’m having problems with enabling the SSL. I recently acquired a certificate, and I’m trying to enable my site for SSL, however, (after editing the includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php) I can view the non secure site, but when I try to log in I get an error: “Page not found”. Can someone help?

It does not appear that way...adding https to your index url does not load.

Re: SSL Problem

I'm having a different kind of ssl problem, I've installed the ssl cert and its working but when I go to my store https://www.thedidgmaster.ca/onlinestore the lock in the location bar gets crossed off and when you scroll over it, it says WARNING:Contains unauthenticated content. I installed ZC with enable ssl, and I even checked the configure files and they seem to be fine, how come I don't have a secure store?

Re: SSL Problem

Can anyone help me with mine?

When i log into admin...no problem, my padlock comes up with no red line through it.

In my store it is a different story. I sent a request to my hosting company and they said it is fine but i just need to change something in the programming of my site. see below:

I have good news for you, your website certificate is 100% active.

Although the problem is simply coding related, the reason why you get the red line through the padlock is becuase "the website contains unsecured content".

What this means is that you need to get your web designer/developer to change the coding references to [ https:// ] instead of what they currently are [ http:// ].

Then the red line will go away and it will be a full gold padlock. Thanks.

Any ideas??

Would appreciate any help you guys could give!

Cheers,
Neil

Re: SSL Problem

First
I think certificate is issued to smartyhost not to you ( can you confirm it) and if you are using shared SSL then you will need to configure according to that.

So ask your hosting company is it dedicated certificate or shared

Re: SSL Problem

Thanks Merlinpa1969. That did the trick. I simply changed the addies in the appropriate files and now every thing is good. Cheers.

Re: SSL Problem

neilg,

Is your includes/configure.php file set to be SSL = true?

// Use secure webserver for checkout procedure?
  define('ENABLE_SSL', 'true');

Re: SSL Problem

Then I think the image 14 days money back is hard coded you need to set it to https
then the warning will go that this page contains both secured and non secured items
and in IE7 the lock does not appear:huh:

Re: SSL Problem

Hi
Ok everything is fine I checked the certificate and it is good and installed properly.
So this leaves with only one option (if you have enabled ssl true in your config file)
that there is an image which gives the problem now sorry to say but I could not figure out which image it is so if i would have been at your end then
try to give all images a https connection and see after then if there is no problem then one by one start removing s from http i know it is little bit lengthy way but you can figure out this way which image is giving this problem
